So, I believe I said months ago that I was back in dA, right? Apparently, I was bluffing since I haven't really posted anything here.

Anyway, I just wanted to post something for the sake of posting and to bump down my "I RETURN TO DEVIANT ART!"journal. I figured it was a bit silly to have a journal declaring my "triumphant" return to an art site where I have been completely inactive.

"But Zak, why are you inactive?"

Well, primarily because dA doesn't exactly peak my interest at the moment. I still browse the site for art and to check up on my friends but that's pretty much it. Also, I can't believe I of all people am going to say this but, all this fanart is getting a bit annoying. I don't mind fanart, some pieces I think are absolutely wonderful, but most of the fanart featured in the front page is boring, cliché, over-drawn, or too sexual for my tastes nowaday. Sorry, but I don't see a point in browsing an art site when 4 out of 5 of the top faves/DDs are Sakura x Sasuke pieces in the front page. I have no personal dislike for the couple or the anime, I just don't care on only seeing that one subject drawn over and over and over again. The only difference that exists among these fanarts are the artists' names.

Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty of good artists and interestig pieces (including fanarts) here and I do enjoy viewing them. I am just not obsessed at the moment about obsessing over other people's artwork. I enjoy it but it is not healthy for people to obsess, compare, and belittle themselves.

Aside from that, I do not find the point in being in an art community when I do not have art to post at the moment. All my time is being distributed between school, sleeping, eating, breathing, and spending time with people I love to unwind and not go crazy. The only artwork I do is the artwork I need to do at school. It's fun and interesting to me but it doesn't exactly peak the interest of others (that's "fine art" for you, he-he). Not that I post art only to be glorified and praised, by the way. So I could post it here, but I just do not feel like it in all honesty.

Maybe someday I will come back with artwork, but at the moment I just want to focus on surviving one day at a time spiritually and physically.
This isn't so much of "Goodbye" note as a a notification for the few people who are interested that this place is on an official hiatus (in case you couldn't figure it out on your own XP).

Well, life goes on so go out and have fun, be safe, and keep arting peeps
